The Washington Post

  • Journalist responsible for finding, producing, shooting, writing, and editing video pieces that appeared on washingtonpost.com, a YouTube channel and other platforms.
  • Collaborated with editors, reporters, and designers across a newsroom of 1,000 people.
  • Appeared on camera as part of coverage of live events.
  • Traveled extensively and problem-solved in the field.
  • Specialized in news features and transportation reporting - especially aviation and rail. Also developed longer-form pieces, including one that took five years to tell.
  • General assignment and enterprise reporting who pioneered telling stories for DallasNews.com using video.
  • As the paper's first multimedia reporter, coached colleagues in video storytelling techniques and production.
  • Also did stints in the newsroom of WFAA-TV (Channel 8), the ABC affiliated in Dallas/Fort Worth owned by Belo Corp., the then-parent company of The News.
